Each row and each column tells you how many squares in a row are filled. A "4" is a block of four; a "2 2" is two blocks with at least one gap between them.

Fill it in with logic
No guessing: cross-check rows and columns and there's always a safe square. Mark the ones that stay empty with an X and the rest falls into place.
