Terms and conditions of use
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These terms govern the use of the "Pixalea" mobile app for iOS and Android (identifier com.opharana.pixalea; hereinafter, "the app"), owned by OPHARANA LLC, with registered address at 99 Wall Street, Suite 1432, 10005, New York, United States, and email hello@opharana.com.
By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app and uninstall it.
The essentials
- The app is free, with the owner's own advertising and two optional purchases.
- You can play without an account: your progress is saved on your device.
- The account is optional and is there to compete with friends; your username is public.
- Purchases are charged and refunded by Apple or Google, not by us.
- Cheating in the ranking, modifying the app or using it for unlawful purposes is not allowed.
- Minimum age: 14 years old.
1. What Pixalea is
Pixalea is a game of nonograms (also called "picross"): logic puzzles in which, by coloring the correct squares of a grid based on the numerical clues in the rows and columns, a piece of pixel art is revealed. There's a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone, and you can also play the ones from previous days from the archive. The official time for each puzzle adds a 30-second penalty for every mistake, so that solving blindly doesn't pay off.
The app is offered for free, funded by the owner's own advertising, and includes two optional in-app purchases. It can be played offline: only the social features, the video of the day and purchases require internet.
2. Minimum age
The app is directed at people aged 14 or over. By using it, you declare that you are at least that age. If you are a parent or guardian and notice that a minor is using it improperly, write to us at hello@opharana.com and we will delete their data.
3. Your progress is saved on your device
If you play without an account, all your progress —solved puzzles, streaks, statistics and settings— is saved solely on your device. If you uninstall the app, clear its data or switch devices without a system backup, that progress is lost and we cannot recover it, because it has never been in our possession. With an account, only your daily puzzle results and your profile statistics are saved on the server (section 4); purchases are restored from your store account (section 5).
4. Account, username and competing with friends
- The account is optional and is only needed to add friends and see the daily puzzle ranking. You can create one with email and password, with Google or with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
- Your username is public: your friends see it, so does anyone who searches for you to add you, and it appears in the ranking. It must not impersonate other people or contain insults, sexual content, hate or third parties' personal data. We may change or block any name that breaks these rules.
- If you see an offensive name or abusive behavior, write to us at hello@opharana.com with the username in question and we will review it.
- Ranking results are calculated with the official time (timer plus mistake penalty) and the server only keeps the best one for each day. Manipulating times or results by any means is prohibited.
- You can delete your account whenever you like from the app (how to do it: Privacy Policy, section 8). We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms.
5. In-app purchases
The app offers two optional purchases:
- "No ads": a one-time (non-consumable) purchase that removes the ad banner forever.
- "5 tries for today": a consumable purchase that adds five retries of the daily puzzle on the day you buy it, to improve your time. Tries you don't use that day don't carry over and are not refunded.
- Charges are made entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on your platform, in accordance with their own terms. We do not see or store your card or billing details.
- The digital content is delivered immediately after purchase. By accepting immediate delivery, you may lose the right of withdrawal provided for digital content under consumer law.
- Refunds and payment claims are handled through Apple or Google, not through us. If you have a problem with a charge, contact the support of the relevant store.
- Purchases are linked to your store account, not to your Pixalea account. On iOS you can use "Restore purchases" in the app's Store to recover the "No ads" purchase on the same Apple ID; on Android it is restored automatically with the same Google account. Consumable purchases are not restored.
6. Advertising and video of the day
The app shows ads for TuIAgencia, the owner's agency, with no third-party ad networks or tracking (details in the Privacy Policy). The video of the day is a voluntary ad: if you watch it five days in a row, on the sixth day you get two tries at the puzzle instead of one. We may change or withdraw this mechanic and its rewards at any time; the rewards have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed. The "No ads" purchase removes the banner; the video of the day remains available on a voluntary basis.
7. Prohibited conduct
By using the app you agree not to:
- Modify the app, use altered clients or devices, reverse engineering, automation, bots or external programs that interact with it on your behalf.
- Interfere with the services the app depends on: manipulating network traffic, exploiting bugs, faking ranking results, video rewards or purchases.
- Create accounts with false details, impersonate other people or use offensive usernames.
- Use the app for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to good faith or public order.
8. Service availability
You can play without internet. The social features (account, friends and ranking), the video of the day and purchases —including their restoration— require a connection and depend on third-party services (Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat) whose availability we do not control, so we do not guarantee that they will work without interruptions or errors.
We may modify, update or remove features of the app, and if necessary discontinue the service. If it were a permanent shutdown, we would announce it with reasonable notice in the app or on this website.
9. Intellectual property and license of use
The app, its code, its texts, its design and its graphic elements are owned by OPHARANA LLC or by third parties who have authorized their use. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable license to use the app on your devices for private, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute or modify it, or create derivative works from it.
The app includes third-party software under their respective licenses. The pixel-art pictures that the puzzles reveal are our own creations and include no third-party assets with additional licenses.
10. Limitation of liability
The app is offered "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the owner is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data or damages arising from the unavailability of the service, from errors in the app or from the use you make of it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as that arising from willful misconduct or from damage to life or physical integrity, nor the rights that consumer law grants to users acting as consumers.
11. Relationship with Apple and Google
These terms are established between you and OPHARANA LLC, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google do not take part in the service or assume any responsibility for the app, its content, its maintenance or its support. In the case of iOS, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the app or in applicable regulations. The version in force will always be the one published on this page, with its update date. If the change is substantial, we will notify you within the app. Continuing to use the app after publication implies acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute, and where the applicable consumer law allows it, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals that apply under the law. If you act as a consumer, you retain the right to go to the courts of your place of residence.
